le 20 juillet. La matinée, jardin et piscine. Garden and pool in the morning

Malgré la sécheresse, la plupart du jardin continue à fleurir.  Je n’ai pas fait des photos des plantes en bas qui sont jaunes, sèches, et en train de mourir.  Jaime beaucoup nager assez tôt, avant que ça fasse trop chaud. (Tous les jours, depuis le 25 mai.)

Despite the drought we are having, most of the garden is in flower.  I haven’t taken photos of the plants in the lower garden, which are yellow, dry, and in some cases, dying.  I like to swim early, before it gets too hot. Every day since 25th May.

Le 13 juillet – on fête le 14. We celebrate the 14th of July on the 13th.

 Les enfants préparent la retraite aux flambeaux.  

Children with their lanterns (real candles inside) recalling the taking of the Bastille.

Et bien sûr, des feux d’artifice.  And of course, fireworks.

le 11 juillet. Fabrication de saucisses. Sausage making.

Au boulot – je fais 4 kilos de saucisses (avec quelques burgers)

Hard at work making 4 kilos of sausages =- with a few smoked port burgers on the side.

 

Beaucoup de vaisselle à laver.  Lots of dishes to do.

Et puis, M ‘pas notre chat’ arrive.  Then ‘Not our cat’ arrived.
