Le 14 juin – Relais de Sainte Anne, Martel

Nous ne sommes pas allés à Martel depuis plusieurs années, mais quand des amis nous ont parlés d’un bon restaurant là-bas, allez hop …

We haven’t been to Martel, about 30 minutes away from our village, for a long time, but when friends told us about a good restaurant there, off we went.

 

Donc, pour 28 Euros: 

Amuse-bouche – gazpacho de petits pois, avec un petit toast au fromage et au jambon.

For amuse-bouche, gazpacho of peas, with a little ham and cheese toast.

 

Terrine de foie gras, coulis à l’orange, et brioche. Foie gras with an orange coulis and brioche.

Quasi de veau, barigoules (artichauts) et gnocchi.  Veal with artichokes and gnocchi.

Le Sainte-Anne, menthe, noix, cacao.  Speciality of the house – chocolate, nut, mint.

 Tartelette fraise-pistaches avec son milk shake.  

Strawberry and pistachio tartlet, with strawberry milk-shake.

Et, avec le café, baba au rhum.  With coffee, baba au rum.

 Le jardin, quand la pluie s’est arrêtée.  The garden, once the rain stopped.
