Début décembre – retour au Cap, et ses vignobles. Early December. We’re back at the Cape, and its vineyards.

Quand nous parlons des vignobles ici, nos amis français ne comprennent pas toujours  comment ils sont différents des vignobles en France.  Vraiment des ‘’destinations’’.  voici quelques examples.

When we talk about the vineyards here, we suspect that our French (and other) friends don’t always understand how beautiful they are – really destinations in their own right.  here are a few examples.

Premièrement, Lourensford à 20 minutes de chez nous.  First, Lourensford, about 20 minutes from our apartment.

Puis Tokara, a 40 minutes d’ici – il n’y a pas toujours du soleil ici.

Then Tokara, about 40 minutes away – its not always sunny here.

Et Terroir, à Kleine Zalze, où nous avons bien mangé.  Terroir, at Kleine Zalze, where we ate very well.

Le pâté, avec, en principe, son foie gras, était trop bon.

The pate with possibly some foie gras, was quickly eaten.

 Le risotto aux crevettes aussi.  As was the prawn risott.

 Pour Harry du springbok.  Springbok for Harry.  Et Paris Brest
