En Espagne. Le 14 mars. Vers Nerja. On the way to Nerja

 Il y a très longtemps (1973 !), avec mon ex, j’avais parcouru l’Europe, avant d’habiter à Londres pendant 2 ans.  Un jour en Espagne nous avons rencontré quelqu’un qui nous a parlé de 2 petite villes à visiter -Nerja et Sitges.  Nous avons trouvé Nerja adorable, et en 1980 nous y sommes retournés avec des amis, encore avec plaisir.  (et plusieurs fois depuis notre arrivée en France nous sommes alles a Sitges, une ville qu’on aime aussi)  Donc, en pensant à quelque part où passer l’hiver, au lieu d’Afrique du Sud, nous avons pensé à Nerja. 

A long time ago, in 1973, my ex and I decided to tour Europe before going to live in London for 2 years.  One day in Spain, we met someone who recommended we go to 2 small towns – Nerja and Sitges.  We loved Nerja and went back again in 1980. Still great.  (And several times since we’ve move to France we’ve been down to Sitges, and also liked it.)  So, when we thought of somewhere to spend the winter, other than South Africa, we thought about Nerja.

 

 Le paysage est très beau – sauf pour les serres, indication de l’agriculture intensive pour laquelle l’Espagne est connue.

The countryside is very attractive, except for the greenhouses everywhere – Spain is well known in Europe for its intensive farming,

Puis, nous arrivons à Nerja – une belle ville, mais beaucoup moins petite qu’avant. Nous passerons 3 jours dans le Parador – les hôtels gérés par le gouvernement espagnole, souvent très luxes, mais pas toujours très chers

Then we arrived in Nerja – still an attractive town, but a lot less small than I remember. We’re staying in the Parador – the hotels owned and operated by the Spanish government, often very luxurious, not always too expensive.

Malheureusement, la piscine n’est pas encore ouverte – ils attendent Pâques.  Unfortunately the pool won’t open until Easter
