La Bande de
Caprivi, ou la Bande de l’Okavango,
Nous avons commencé
à Windhoek, le capital de Namibie, pour aller vers le Nord, à Caprivi. Cette partie
de Namibie, long de 450 kilomètres et large de 30 kilomètres, est le résultat d’un
traité de 1890, quand l’Allemagne voulait un accès à la Rivière Zambèze. Malheureusement,
il y a les chutes de Victoria qui bloque cet accès !
The Caprivi strip, or the Okavango Strip.
This part of Namibia, 450 km long, and 30 km wide, is the
result of a treaty from 1890, when Germany sought access to the Zambezi
river. Unfortunately, Victoria Falls was
in the way!
Surtout avec la sècheresse
qui la frappe, la Namibie est un pays aride.
Even more so with the drought that afflicts it Namibia is a
dry and arid country.
C’est une association
pour protéger les guépards dans leur habitat.
Ces guépards sont des orphelins, qui ne partiront jamais de cet endroit.
The fund is designed to protect cheetahs n the wild – these cheetahs
are orphans, needing prtectdion, which will never be able to go into the wild.
