26 mars. Il fait froid, mais c'est quand-meme le printemps. It's cold, but still spring.

20 mars - l'Ecole de Carlux. The school in Carlux

This is a work of 'installation' art made by the pupils of Cours Moyen (about 10-11 years old).

15 mars. La tour du chateau sans échafaudage. The tower of the chateau, with no scaffolding

Apres des années de travaux, et de l’échafaudage, surtout autour de la tour – maintenant, on voit la tour elle-même.

After years of construction, and lots of scaffolding, recently around the tower, we can no see the tower as it is. About 50 metres from our house.

14 mars. Le beau temps continue – et les travaux (doucement) Good weather continues, and so does the construction – slowly .

Cette semaine, une réunion avec le cuisiniste/menuisier, Xavier Bretel, pour apprendre que son père, Pierre, s’est écrasé le pied – 3 orteils cassés.  Donc, Xavier est seul à l’atelier-  retard de 15 jours.  Et le plâtrier arrive pour finir ses travaux – où j’ai déjà peint.  Donc, je dois recommencer à peindre, heureusement que 2 murs  Mais il fait toujours beau, et on en profite

This week, a meeting with the carpenter/kitchen manufacturer, Xavier Bretel, where we learn that his father, Pierre smashed his foot - 3 broken toes.   So Xavier is alone in the atelier, and our kitchen will be delayed by about 2 weeks.  Then the plasterer arrived to finish his job – turns out that I painted over an incomplete finish, and so he has re-plastered over my paint.  And I have to start again, luckily only 2 walls.  But the good weather continues, and we are taking advantage of it.

 Et si ce n’était pas assez, on profite de la présence du plâtrier pour réparer une partie du plafond dans ‘l’appartement.’

And, as if it’s not enough to work on the kitchen, we take advantage of the having the plasterer to repair part of the ceiling in the ‘apartment.’

11 mars Sur la route de Sarlat. On the road to Sarlat

Un rendez-vous chez le coiffeur à Sarlat, mais je ne pouvais pas m’arrêter faire des photos sur la route.

Sarlat is about 20 minutes’ drive from Carlux, and this morning I had an appointment for a haircut.  (Not many services in Carlux itself!)  On the way I couldn’t help stopping to take photos of the geese at a local farm, and some of the farms themselves.
