Nous voulions
visiter le vignoble de Diemersfontein, et la ville de Wellington, à une heure d’ici.
C’est-à-dire, une heure vers l’intérieure,
donc, plus chaud. Probablemet 40. Mais, étonnement, nous avons trouvé plusieurs
oeuvres d’art.
We decided to visit the vineyard at Diemersfontein, in
Wellington, about one hour from here. One hour towards the interior, therefore very
hot – about 40 degrees. Someone we met
there said the town is sometimes known (by inhabitants) as Hellington in the
summer. Surprisingly however, we found
several works of art we hadn’t expected.
A Wellington. , un jardin de poésie
– mais tout est en Afrikaans, donc incompréhensible.
In Wellington, a Poetry Garden, but all in Afrikaans, and so we couldn’t
understand anything.
Moins poétique.
Less poetic.
Au vignoble. At the vineyard.
Et au vignoble de
Warwick, sur la route de retour, un statue de Mandela, tout en perles.
At the Warwick Vineyard, on the way home, a statue of
Mandela, all done in beads. For Canadians, you might want to check out the site - the 'family matriarch' the First Lady of South African wine, was born in Edmonton. http://warwickwine.com/theratcliffefamily.html
