6ème Jardin en arts. Il pleut. Art in the garden. It's raining

For 6 years now our neighbour Odile has welcomed a number of artists, and lots of people to her garden in Carlux.  Usually it’s warm, but his year not – cool and rainy.  We’re still hoping for spring

First, at our house, a snail enjoying the rain.

Et quelques examples de l'art.  Some examples of the art.

17 mai Au Marché de Souillac. Souillac market.

De l'ail nouveau.  Et des plantes, bien sur.  New garlic, and plants, of course.
Gilles et ses fromages.  Gilles with (some of) his cheese.  Also blac cherry jam, eaten with brebis.

One of my favourite scenes – breakfast at the market.  Red wine, often steak. They have, of course, been up working for hours.

Des asperges blanches ...
White asparagus...
 et parfois des vertes.
and sometimes some green

Des fraises gariguettes.  Gariguette strawberries - only in the spring, and some of the best.  All local.

Et Mara des bois.  And Mara des bois - a cultivated strawberry that tastes like wild strawberries.  W'll have these (and others) all summer, into October.  Local.

Or mussells, oysters, and sevral yards more fish that didn't fit into the picture.

Toujours beaux, des artichaux.  Always beautiful, great big artichokes.

Et la dame qui fait des gaufres.  The lady who makes waffles.

La nouvelle cyprès.The new Cypress tree.

On esp
ère qu'il pousse vite.
Harry planted a number of cypress trees in 2006.Since then we have often felt that one more would be nice, and so today Harry planted one. We’re hoping it grows fast.
Avec ses grands frères.  With its big brothers.

Les voisins d'en face. The neighbours opposite.

Le printemps continue - coquelicots et glycine. Spring continues. Poppies and wisteria

Our wisteria, which, unusually, is white, is now in flower.  And of course more poppies.
