28 avril. L'évier arrive. The sink is here.

Having waited 2 months for a sink that arrived broken twice, our carpenter asked the granite shop to make one in Caesarstone.  It came today, and Pierre, Xavier, and Thomas installed it, admittedly, with difficulty.  But at last it’s done, tomorrow some finishing touches, and then the plumber – and maybe normal life will resume.

16 avril. Toujours la cuisine - ou presque. Still waiting for the kitchen. Everything but the kitchen sink.

Work on the kitchen continues, but we have a big problem – the sink ordered 12 weeks ago, was received, broken – for the second time.  So, on to Plan B.  The granitier (‘granite person?’) will be making us one.  And we wait.

The granite for the countertops is here, and it’s great.

Pierre, Thomas, et Xavier - il est lourd.  Heavy work

Pierre preparing for the second piece – you’ll note that there is a big hole where the ever should be.

Quand-même, la glycine est magnifique.  At least the wisteria is amazing.
