25-26 janvier Un week-end à (autour de) Gordon’s Bay. A weekend in and around Gordon’s Bay

Pendant que le Canada souffre de ;’extrême froid, et Carlux de la pluie, ici on a le soleil. (Désolée, les amis qui ne sont pas là avec nous.)  On vient d’avoir un weekend parfait.

While Canada suffers from extreme cold and Carlux from rain, here we have lots of sun.  (Sorry, to all our friends who aren’t here with us)  We’ve just had a perfect weekend.

Samedi, ‘chez nous’ la vue de la mer, et des montagnes.  Et un petit coléoptère qu’on a trouvé sur la terrasse.

Saturday, our place, view of the sea, and of the mountains.  Plus a little beetle we found on the terrace.

Dimanche, on a pris l’avenue Clarence, qui suit la cote – une sorte de corniche.  On a commencé avec la vue du barrage, sur la falaise .   La petite ville de Gordon’s Bay est sur False Bay, en face du Cap.

Sunday, we drove along Clarence Drive, which follows the coast.  We started with the view from the dam high on the cliff. The small town of Gordon’s Bay is on False Bay, opposite Cape Town.

Sur la route.  Il y a beaucoup de vert, à cause de la pluie ici cette année.

On the road.  A surprising amount of green, caused by the rain this year.

Moins jolie – un accident peut-être ?  Less attractive, perhaps the result of an accident.

Et dimanche soir, chez des amis, les montagnes.  Sunday night, with friends, the mountains.
