Samedi dernier nous avons passé samedi avec David et Lucy autour de notre maison. Pas mal.

Last Saturday we spent the day near our house.  Not so bad.

Premièrement nous nous promenons dans le bois – dans notre bois.  Pas a cote de la maison[SR1] , mais pas loin. 

First, a walk through the woods –our woods.  Not next to the house, but not far.

 Harry a le droit de tirer avec des armes à poudre noir ici.  Donc, il avertit des éventuels promeneurs.

Harry has the right to shoot black powder guns here, and so he warns people.

 Des restes d'un batiment.  Remains of a building.

 Arrivés chez les Larminaux, nous ramassons des figues.

Once we got to where our friends, the Larminaux, live, we picked figs.

 Sur la route de retour.  On the way home.

 Chez nous, des cyclamens.  Cyclamens in our garden

Du foie gras poêlé, avec des pommes, et bien sûr, un verre de Monbazillac.

Et le soir, des gougères, avec un verre de champagne.

That night, gougères , with a glass of champagne.

Bien sûr, c’est la campagne – Harry a trouvé un bébé escargot sur sa chaussure.

Of course, we do live in the country.  Harry found a baby snail on his shoe
