Le 1er mai – on fête les 2 ans de notre épicerie. Celebrating two years that our village shop has been open.

On commence avec la charcuterie. A little charcuterie to start

LE cochon de lait arrive.  Suckling pig here at last

Avec, bien sûr, des haricots.  And of course, beans.

Les gens commencent a danser, mais pour nous, il faisait deja trop chaud.  People beginning to dance, but it was too hot for us.

Le mai, une coutume du sud-ouest, pour fêter le 1^re mai et la patronne !  a ‘May’, a tradition in the southwest, for May 1, and  to honour the boss !
