On fait partie de
la Société d’Art et d’Histoire de Sarlat et du Périgord Noir, avec qui on a assiste a une conférence : ‘De la minière
aux canons – l’activité des maitres de forges en Périgord Noir au VIIIe siècle. Plus intéressante que prévue !
We went to our first meeting of the Society for Art and
History of Sarlat and the Périgord Noir. Recently we went to our first meeting: ‘From mining to canons – the activity of masters
of forges in the 18th century.
Actually more interesting than it sounds. This region produced many of
the canons and ammunition used in the multiple wars of the 18th century.
