C’est la fin de l’année scolaire, et la classe de gym se promène.  For our last class, we go for a walk.

 On trouve une grotte.  We find a cave

Et un arbre qui pousse dans une pierre.  And a tree growing in a rock.

Une fois au sommet, on surplombe la rivière, le Château de Rouffillac, les champs…. 

Once we get to the top, we can look down at the river, the Château of Rouffillac, the fields…

Et puis, de cabanes en pierre – bâties pendant l’hiver. 

Then two stone ‘cabins’, built during the winter.  (Remember how high we are – amazing to think someone would carry all this stone up the steep hill.)

 Moins beaum mais il y a encore des arbres.  Less beautiful, but there are still lots of trees.

 Et puis, la récompense.  Then, the reward.

Avec, bien sûr, du foie gras.  And of course, foie gras.
